American Legion Supports Local Soldiers Family

A family in need is helped with funding for new air conditioner

Sparta, WI - The Sparta American Legion Post #100 will be presenting Service Plus a check for $1500 on July 26th 2012 at 9:00 am at the home of the Pike family located at 900 Kent St.  Service Plus installed the unit earlier this month, making the job a top priority when they heard it was a Soldier's home.

Maureen Pike applied for a grant to get assistance from the American Legion, after the air conditioner went out.  Her husband is deployed overseas.  The grant was fast tracked at the state level due to the extreme heat conditions in the area.

Service Plus Heating and Colling located at 2975 Commercial Dr. in Sparta services the Sparta Area and can be contacted at 269-2194.

The American Legion welcomes current and former member of the uninformed services, freinds and familes.  The American Legion supports its community through various programs.
